Leather Workking Group

LWG (Leather Working Group) certification is the first worldwide environmental certification for the leather manufacturing industry and has the ambitious goal of improving the environmental impact of the leather sector.

The LWG system has checked and verified the correct performance and effective management of various company areas including the management of chemicals, employee safety in the workplace and their awareness of environmental protection. Furthermore, LWG has given us an important boost in traceability, improving the performance of the entire Futura Group.

Our commitment to
DHL GoGreen Plus

We have officially joined DHL’s GoGreen Plus sustainability program, an initiative designed to reduce CO2 emissions from our international shipments.
Through the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), we are concretely committed to minimizing the environmental impact of our logistics operations, thus contributing to the transition to a zero-emission future.
This solution, which combines efficiency and innovation, represents one of the most effective tools for decarbonizing air transport.

Thanks to the use of SAF, we can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 80% compared to traditional fuels, and significantly reduce harmful emissions such as particulate matter (-90%) and sulfur (-100%). Our voluntary participation in this program is an important step on our journey towards increasingly sustainable logistics.
By collaborating with DHL, we are helping reduce Scope 3 emissions—the indirect greenhouse gas emissions generated in the value chain, including transportation and downstream distribution.

Sustainable packaging

Reduce plastic packaging and promote reuse

RESULTS:

  • _ Expanded range of cardboard packaging formats
  • _ Cartons are made with 75% recycled material
  • _ Neutral boxes feature ‘REUSEME’ lettering, encouraging reuse

Digital conversion

We’ve launched a digital configurator that lets you customize over 20 items with 400 leather colors.
It features realistic, interactive visualization on models and immediate texture downloads for rendering software

Chemical Management System

Transparent and responsible management of chemicals, ensuring fast and accurate responses to customer requests and technical specifications. A tangible advantage that allows us to be more responsive, reliable, and aligned with the expectations of a market increasingly focused on sustainability and safety throughout the entire supply chain.

RESULTS:

  • _ Our supply chain currently has 68% traceability, and we’re aiming to reach 90% within the next year.
